Ziba Design :: Interaction Designer (October 2010 - present)

  • Collaborated in diverse project teams to create consumer-focused designs for product companies around the world
  • Facilitated deep-dive research and brainstorm activities to establish a point-of-view on product features
  • Taught Arduino classes to internal discipline groups, introducing the hardware, programming, and various inputs and outputs

Northwestern Mutual :: User Interface Design Specialist (April 2004 - June 2010)

  • Designed and developed rich web-based applications to increase productivity to internal support groups
  • Introduced a "Satellite View" diagram to our project deliverable package, providing a high-level view of the entire application and all the interactions
  • Developed all front-end HTML, Javascript, and Cascading Style Sheets for web applications
  • Improved the design and functionality of the "Calendar Widget" date selector, passing increased efficiency  for the user to enterprise-level web applications
  • Collaborated with teammate to develop an enterprise-wide UI Framework to revolutionize how web applications are designed and developed
  • Evaluated an early draft, and contributed an application example, to a future book on interface design

eFunds :: User Interface Designer (June 2000 - July 2002)
  • One of founding members of company’s User-Centered Design (UCD) team
  • Performed User-Centered Design tasks for projects: User Profiling, Use Cases, Paper Prototyping, Prototype Reviews, Usability Testing, Field Research, and Help System Design and Documentation
  • Generated prototype designs, navigation and interaction flows, and storyboards for web applications to reference for reviewing, performing usability tests, and developing the application
